Review Intubation/Medications

​

Get everything set up first.  Review and ensure you know how to setup Airway kit for non-rebreather with filter, or setup the BVM  with filter, mask and maybe in-line suction. Review how to use the glidescope and various blades.

Go to the Ventilation & Intubation Section in Critical Care Pathway (not much more there)

Post-Intubation:

​

Consider doing any additional procedures while still in room and full PPE until room cleared for airborne precautions.  

​

Mar 2023: Not necessary, for general considerations only. RT is available as per usual

 

Consider familiarizing yourself with key elements of setting up the general ETT tube to BVM and the Ventilator and even some venilator settings, and suction by watching 3 MGH session videos, or read the setup primer below.
